You will need to change the name servers information that is currently
on your domain's registration record so that it is pointing at our
servers using the information that you see below. If we have registered
your domain for you, we will take care of these changes.
Primary DNS Server
ns3.wdda.org / 207.218.245.135
Secondary DNS Server
ns4.wdda.org / 64.246.40.120
It will take approximately
24 to 72 hours for the new name server information to fully propagate.
In the meantime you will be able to use the information below to
begin uploading to your new FTP area.
***NOTE*** Your main user account is an administrative account,
not a regular user account. For security purposes, the Administrative
account does not have the availability of certain functions, such
as email forwarding.
Once the new name server information has fully propagated you will
want to take a look around at the following URLs to learn more about
your new web hosting service. |
|
| |
http://www.your-url/admin
http://www.your-url/user
If WebMail is included as part of your web hosting package, you
may access it by going to: http://www.your-url/squirrelmail
Please
note that you will not be able to view the web pages that you
uploaded, or the 3 links above until your DNS changes have propagated
through the internet. Additionally, if you have FrontPage activated,
you will not be able to access it until the new nameserver changes
have propagated as well.
When uploading to your FTP area please make sure to upload all
of your files into the mainwebsite_html folder.
If you need to use an images folder, or any other, all you have
to do is 'create', or 'make', one using your FTP uploading software.
Don't forget to set CHMOD permissions if you are using a cgi-bin
for your website.
Please
note that you will need your user name and passwords to access
these areas and that your user name and password are also your
default email name and password and also the same for FTP - yourusername@your-url.com
Your email accounts are checkable using your user name and password.
Your incoming server for pop3 email & your outgoing SMTP server
is your domain name, which would be "mail.your-url.com"
in this case.
*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
To be able to send mail out of your domain, you need to have the
option checked on your email client allowing the outgoing mail
server to authenticate your username and password, which is the
same as your incoming mail server username and password. Otherwise
you will get a '550 - Relaying Denied' error. This reduces the
ability of anyone to spam mail through your account(s).
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
We now have an option available for our clients to easily back
up their website and user/email data. This option can be found
in the Administration Control Panel. Although we do make periodic
backups of our servers, it is up to you to ensure that you have
your latest data backed up. We are not responsible for lost data.
